Hang gliding Aerotow
For Pilot rated flyers
We have a mixture of rigid wing and flex wing hang gliders that are used for training. This makes it a great way for people who already fly other aircraft, for instance microlight pilots, to quickly convert to the joys of hang gliding.

If you already have your HG Pilot rating (hill or winch), you will start by having a single tandem flight with one of our instructors, to help familiarise you with the technical aspects and feel of being towed by the tug.
Once the tandem flight is done you need to complete a minimum of 8 further solo training flights to complete the specified exercises and gain the conversion to the new rating.
A pilot will normally complete the rating in 2 to 3 days.
For CPC rated pilots
If you have not attained your HG Pilot rating, we bring you up to the aerotow standard by simply increasing the number of tandem flights. This speeds your progress towards your first solo aerotow flight.
Once you have undertaken sufficient tandem flights, you simply complete a number of solo flights to practice the tasks and get the rating.
The number of tandem flights required will depend on your flying experience and the rate at which you progress during the conversion.
