Powered Hang Gliding
For pilots with a winch, hill or aerotow rating. This is a very popular conversion as it frees you from the need for a winch or hill to get you in the air, you can fly almost whenever and wherever you want. With a hang glider and a power unit you can take off under your own steam and be completely self-sufficient.
The two-day conversion introduces techniques for using portable power units with your existing hang glider.
Starting with ground runs we gradually build towards your first hops under power. Like all our training, learning to fly with a power unit is progressive, ensuring you are comfortable at each stage before you progress to the next.
Some theory is covered within the syllabus so by the time you complete the conversion you are fully equipped to start building experience.

If you are interested to learn to fly powered hang gliders ab-initio, we can teach you. We start by training you up to a competent level in hang gliding before introducing the power unit.
