Disabled Microlight Aviation
Airways Airsports has one of the few fixed wing microlights around that are modified for use by those with paraplegia, amputees or other conditions which prevent or restrict the use of lower limbs.

Accessible to All
Our Snowbird microlight has been adapted to use only hand controls. It has proved to be an immensely popular option for wheelchair users to learn to fly a microlight.
All our key buildings and facilities have wheelchair access, we have a wheelchair accessible toilet and the main hangar and microlight parking areas are all on flat ground.
Your flight or course will be run to exactly the same syllabus as for able bodied pilots. Most students undertaking microlight tuition do not need assistance, beyond help to get into the microlight, if necessary. This makes our wheelchair using microlight pilots almost completely autonomous.
Tandem and trial flights are available in both fixed and flex wing aircraft. Groups can enjoy experience days that include a mixture of microlight aviation and other flying disciplines.
