Spanish Airpark - Ontur
If you want to learn to Hang Glide, Learn to Paraglide or learn to Paramotor in Spain then our Spanish Airpark gets Airways' season off to a flying start when we go there for the start of Spring. It also offers late season starters a way to guarantee getting their wings when we go in Autumn to extend the end of the British season.
Our Spanish Paragliding Hang gliding and Paramotoring school is at Ontur Airfield which is situated 120km inland from Alicante. The local region is mostly farmland dotted with small individual ridges.
50km to the west are the Sierra de Alcarez rising to 1700m, whilst to the north stretches the great Spanish plain.
The airfield, like most of this plain is 650m above sea level. In addition to the thermal, ridge and wave conditions there are also magnificent convergences. Amongst the most extensive are the sea breezes, which often come are within easy reach of Ontur airfield, which is 150km from the sea.
Combine the geographic influences with the climate of South Eastern Spain to make a perfect soaring site for pilots of all levels of experience.

For FLPA pilots the area could not be better as it sits in the middle of a vast plain interspersed with small hills and pretty villages. Motor safaris, plenty of scope for low level flying, navigational exercises and generally getting to know your machine make Ontur an ideal location to learn or just fly.
For all our courses your level of experience is not important, just your sense of adventure!
