Fly in and Barn Dance
The 2007 Fly in and Barn Dance was a huge success with around 60 pilots visiting on the day.
We saw winch launches for HG and PG, about a dozen microlights flew in, as well as Doodlebugs (two of whom came from 75 miles away!). The mass launch of paramotors was impressive and the Pitts special was especially popular with Chas, our resident 'proper pilot' flying 12 sorties over Alton towers for some aerobatic fun.
In the evening 150 people came to the Barn Dance which was great.
Thanks to everyone who helped to make the day such a success.
The day was primarily about old and new friends of the airpark having fun but we also managed to raise £1,250 for the BHPA's Flyability organisation. This was a mixture of payments for pleasure flights, the Magoo accuracy trophy and of course tickets for the Barn Dance.
See you all next time.
Andrew
