Four Stroke Paramotors

We are proud to be a UK Dealer for the Bailey range of four stroke paramotors.

Bailey Flor Stroke Paramotor Customers  Bailey have been producing what many people believe are the best designed and constructed paramotors you could get your hands on.  Recently Bailey Aviation turned their attention to the four stroke dream and are now the only producer of four stroke engines in the world.

Believe us, when you have flown a Bailey Flor Stroke it's unlikely you will ever go back to your two stroke days.  We keep motors in stock for you to demo at the airpark and of course can teach you to fly FLPA from scratch or as a conversion from an existing paragliding or microlight ticket.

If you would like to testfly a Bailey Four Stroke and you hold your BHPA or BMAA paramotor ticket then you sinmply need to contact us and arrange a demo.

If you are a beginner who is interested in flying the Bailey Four Stroke, the best way to start is with one of our Paramotor day tasters, you can buy a voucher for one of these below.

ALL ABOUT THE FOUR STROKES

Bailey Four Stroke Paramotor Pilot Bailey's 2008 range represents the latest in fuel efficient, quiet and powerful Paramotors, utilising their second generation state-of-the-art 4stroke engine.

These machines have proved devastatingly effective over the last 3 years in competitions, with many UK, French and World Championship podium positions. Bailey Aviation machines are the leading choice for competition pilots, long XC pilots and fun-flyers alike.

The 4 stroke design provides a superbly linear power delivery, smooth from idle to the higher RPM limits, far removed from the peaky power delivery of some 2 stroke designs. Many pilots are enjoying the extra flying time our fuel-efficient 4 stroke design offers, with 4+ hours flights now possible from a 10 litre fuel load.

The 4stroke175 uses a 178cc (18HP) engine producing enough thrust for 110kg pilots.  The Bailey 4 stroke is a single cylinder SOHC design and features CNC machined alloy crankcases, pressure compensating carburettor, stainless steel exhaust, oil cooler, Poly-V belt drive reduction, high power CDI ignition and electric starting system.
The second-generation 4 stroke engine has a number of enhancements, including a new forced air cooling system, which consists of a carbon fibre outer cowling, concealing a crank driven fan assembly that forces cool air over the cylinder head, keeping temperatures down in even the highest ambient temperatures.
Enhanced cooling fins both internally and externally on the CNC machined crankcases further enhance the heat dissipation process and we have now fitted a smaller, more efficient fuel primer bulb. The electric starting system also features in flight re-charging with an auxiliary power output of 8 amps to drive flight computers or strobes.
The Bailey 4 Stroke engine is compact and weighs in at 19.3Kg with all ancillaries (but minus battery pack).

FIRE UP THE QUATTRO

Bailey Quattro Trike Also available now is the Bailey Four Stroke Quattro trike.  Airways is oner of a very few places inthe UK where you can learn to fly one of these from scratch or convert from a NPPL(M) ticket.

We had one up at the airfield and have got to say it's the most fun you can have with a flying suit on.  Forget running, simply match the trike to a decent wing like an Ozone Mojo or Roadster and you have a dream machine.

On a nil wind day with a clear blue sky we took off, without breaking a sweat, and in a three hour flight up over Carsington Reservoir used less fuel than you would in a run down to the shops.  The motor could not be heard from one end of the airfield to the other and the pilot came back with the biggest grin you have ever seen.

The trike takes away all the worries of running with  a motor on your back and with the right wing and the right tuition is fairly straightforward to launch and land.  The whole shooting match; wing, trike cage - the lot - fitted in the back of a Renault Scenic and from pulling up at the airpark to flying took under 25 mins.
