Paramotor Equipment

Airways Airsports provide a wide range of paramotor equipment for all pilots. When learning to fly a Paramotor it is vital that you get the correct combination of motor and wing to get you safely and happily in the air.

There is a vast array of equipment, and a similar accumulation of conflicting advice, out there. Our approach is based on common sense and is gathered under the two main headings – Wing then Motor.

We don’t insist that you buy your equipment from us before completing a course we do ask that you make an informed decision regarding equipment. By this we mean visit the place you intend to learn/buy your equipment from before you invest thousands of pounds in a package that won’t even get you off the ground.

Wing

There are specialist paramotor wings but these are not normally the best option for beginners. Specialist wings are primarily designed for speed in the air and tend to require piloting skills that are gained after quite a few hours as a pilot.

Using a good beginners paragliding wing, such as the Ozone Mojo, which is available with paramotor risers, gives you a much wider range of options. A wing like this will make ground handling much easier, is more forgiving in its flight characteristics and increases your chances of making safe takeoff and landings.

By simply changing the risers you can also free fly this type of wing. So you have a wing that will help, rather than hinder you during the course and can be used on the hill as well as the airfield.

Motor

There are more than 50 types of paramotor. The one you choose depends on a number of factors amongst which are your weight, how you intend to use it, how you will transport and store it, your plans for the future (i.e. do you want to fly tandem one day) and what you will need in terms of after sales support.

In the long run you will always be better of getting your motor off a reputable dealer who will be there to look after you when you need him. We supply a range of paramotors, from the exceptionally engineered Bailey motor to the flexible and powerful Fly Products range and the value PAP engines. What we will ensure is that you get the best advice and a set up that is right for you from the start.

There are significant discounts for people buying an equipment and training package from us, these increase if you take our BEST DEAL option. Paramotoring packages start as low as £4,500 – See the Paramotoring course prices section for more details.
