Best Start to Spring so Far
As I have said in many of my blogs before: I thought this year was going to be a good one. Well, the start of spring has been the best I have known in my teaching career.
The airpark has been filling up over the last month with people coming out of winter hibernation. The sun is really starting to warm things up and it's great to see people getting their first soaring flights on both the winch and aerotow.
With the flood of paragliding Club Pilot Certificates I signed off at the beginning of the month in Norfolk, I thought the pace would slow down a bit towards the end of April; but no. During this long spell of great weather we have been out just about everyday doing lots and lots of flying. Students have been achieving greater heights in their flying, and this week alone I have signed off another 3 CPC paraglider pilots. Congratulations to Martin Shrosbree, David McKenzie and Steven Temple for getting your "wings". That brings a total of 30 CPC rated pilots in paragliding and hang gliding already this year - surely a positive sign for the season ahead.
There is always something new at the airpark and today Gary Carter picked up his new Wills Wing U2 145 with new UVM top surface and new wing cut for 2009.
It looks "the business" and I cannot wait to get my hands on one.
There should be another period of good flying weather next week, So if you are thinking of flying, give the office a call and get booked in on 01335 344308.
See you up there!!!!!!!.
