Hill Heaven
The weeks of flyable weather this year have seen an ever expanding group of new pilots keen to migrate to the hills.
The last 2 days in Derbyshire have seen us flying until late in the mellow early evening air which has culminated in Tony Grady and David McKenzie achieving all their tasks for their Hill CPC rating, having already gained their Tow CPC.
David’s learning curve did not have much chance to level out, having only completed his Tow CPC two days earlier. He coped well and had his eyes opened a little further to all the possibilities that hill soaring brings.
Also well done to Stuart Toon for soaring his hang glider for over an hour, and to Blaise and Paul who lost their hill virginity on their new Ozone Mojo 3s – they only came to the airfield to collect their new gliders and then found themselves soaring a hill and living the dream.
Well done to all!
Chris
