Summer has Come at Last!
A sparkling finish to a challenging year sees people flying and qualifying. Hurrah!
Although the forecast for learning to paraglide was not the best for the day, like so many other days this year we went out and gave it a go!
Those who got ready early managed some good flying with Steve Powell completing another 2 flights on is Baily 4stroke to bring his total to 25 in the last month or so. So who says you can't fly in winter! With only his exam to go it won't be long before he is signed off for a unrestricted licence. Andy Beer is close on his heels adding another flight on his Fly Products Kompress so just another 2 for the same and he's in for some exam fun too. All you paramotor pilots and wannabeed don't forget to spend lots of time this Christmas practicing that very important ground handling.Meanwhile, on the other side of the field we welcomes back to Stewart on is Hang Glider After a 12 mouth lay off. Nice to see you.
So in the end we flew all morning before the wind eventually did pick up in the afternoon. But the time was not wasted with 4 pilots having reserve parachutes fitted ready for those steps in to the big wide open world.
So all in all not a bad day on the Paragliding, Paramotoring and Hang gliding side. That coupled with 5 hours micro light training yesterday on are C42 adds up to a pretty good winters week day really if only summer had been This good!
Cheers
Andy
