Fruits of the Airpark's Labour.
The great conditions gave Geoff Whale the flights to complete his CPC and I signed him off. Well done Geoff - off to the hills we go now! Blaise, Paul W, Richard, David and Paul Larder have only their speed bar to do, then they will be hot on Geoff's heels, We also had lots of day tasters - what was really nice on Thursday is we had four ladies learning paragliding. In fact, at one point, the girls out numbered the boys which is a first for me, and good to see.
It's really good to see Judy back from France and taking folks for their first experience in hang gliding, towing tandem behind a microlight up to 3000ft over the beautiful Derbyshire country side before releasing and soaring back to earth.
The microlights were busy and once again we were delighted with the fruits of our labour with Nigel Prior on fixed wing and Kevin Grayson on Flex wing both completing the GST ( General Skills Test). They both passed with flying colours under the forever watchful eye of Chris Dawes, the Chief Flying Instructor at Airways. Well done to you Both . Where do they go from here? Well Nigel has signed up for the year to fly our brilliant Aeros C42 and Kevin has gone one better and will now convert on to his very own GT450. There will be no stopping them this Summer.
So all in all, the great start to the year continues. Next weather window you ask? Tuesday doesn't look bad to me, So I will see you then.
